A beautiful blonde girl sat by the Black Lake, smiling slightly. Her name? Of course, everyone knew! How could you not know the name of the most popular girl at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry? Miss Ashley Skye Narcissa Malfoy, at your service – better known as Ashley Malfoy, the Slytherin Princess. Well, that was what they called her to her face…behind her back, they referred to ‘Ash’ as The Bratty Blonde Slytherin Bitch. And, well, no one could say she didn’t exactly deserve it.
Everything about Ashley pulsed with beauty, energy, and even a bit of snobbishness. Her long, layered blonde hair flowed behind her in the wind. Her large, warm brown eyes glanced casually over the lake, as if she didn’t care about anything but herself. Which was sometimes true.
You could tell she was a Malfoy, if you didn’t know already. The hair, for one, gave it away – it was the traditional Malfoy blonde, except maybe a shade darker than that of Draco Malfoy. But she had the Granger eyes – a muggle trait, and though beautiful, Ashley’s eyes were the trait she was not so proud of. Why couldn’t she have gotten her da’s blue-gray eyes? Oh well, even Ashley Malfoy couldn’t get everything she wanted.
The Slytherin girl smiled to no one in particular as she took off her black boots and dipped her feet carefully into the cool water. Closing her large eyes, Ashley sighed. It was a perfect day…so far…

(( I got bored))
Even the Slytherin common room could get boring after a while. Though sleep could never get boring. At least it could never get boring for Greg Sanders. Most of his time was spent sleeping the day away, or at least half the day. Today was no different. Waking up around 11:30 in the morning was a bit too early for Greg though, yet he could live. At least he hoped. Sleep was what kept him going, and if he didn't have sleep, then things would become a mess. And that would be a problem.
Even sleep had to come to an end though, and Greg knew it. He had only hoped to get a bit more in, but when he was up, he was up. No changing that. Getting up and walking over to the stairs that lead to the boy's dorm. Should he dare to go up them? One of the reason why he slept down on the couch was because the boys snored like heck, and that was enough to keep him from sleeping. Making up his mind, Greg walked up the stairs to get dressed.
About twenty minutes later, after finding himself outside and near the lake, Greg couldn't help but smirk at the person that he saw sitting there. Miss Malfoy, one of his best friends and most likely target for his jokes. Walking over to her, trying to be as quiet as he could, he stopped behind her. " Well, well. If it isn't the princess. How come your not up in your tower?"

"Well, well. If it isn't the princess. How come you're not up in your tower?"
Rolling her large, pretty, chocolate brown eyes, Ashley rotated her head slightly to her left. Smirking at her stood none other than Greg Sanders - a good friend of hers. And, most importantly, a good target. "I'm just enjoying the sunshine," Ashley replied sarcastically in her pretty English accent.
Ashley looked back onto the silvery waters, watching the ripples coming from the center. A slight sigh escaped her cherry red lips. "There's nothing to do, or I'd be doing it, Mr. Obvious." Her tone was somewhat impatient, as if annoyed that Greg hadn't been smart enough to figure out the answer. "I could ask the same of you." A smirk played about her beautiful face. Had she been a bit...nicer...the Sorting Hat would've definitely put her in Ravenclaw. But no, Ashley Skye Narcissa Malfoy was a Slytherin. And she enjoyed her popularity, thank you very much. She turned back to Greg, raising an eyebrow and waiting for his answer.

Laughing slightly at her answer, Greg walked towards the lake's edge. The funny part of it was that she was being nice. Surprised was what he was. Normally he was the "so called" target for her, like she was his "so called" target. It was funny how friendship worked like that. Enjoying the sunshine, since when had she ever done that?
Mr. Obvious? What kinda name was that? Greg could come up with better names then that! Though it was funny being called names. " Well I'm so sorry for being Mr. Obvious." Smirking, he turned his attention back to her. " Well the only reason I'm out here is because boredom has come to Hogwarts. And the fact that I can't sleep." Shrugging, Greg turned his attention back to the lake.

"Well I'm so sorry for being Mr. Obvious."
"Good. You should be," Ashley replied with a slight smirk. For some reason, she was in a good mood, and when Ashley Skye Narcissa Malfoy was in a good mood, it was probably the time to take advantage of her happiness. That is, if you weren't afraid of turning her good mood into a bad one. Ashley was simply confusing and unpredictable like that.
"Well the only reason I'm out here is because boredom has come to Hogwarts. And the fact that I can't sleep."
Raising an eyebrow, she sighed. "Boredom was never gone, my friend. It's always been here. You must have simply failed to notice it," Ashley replied in a blunt, plain tone. It was true - for her, at least. Ashley got bored easily, though some people who liked to be around her claimed that with Miss Malfoy, there was never a dull moment. Never a dull moment her arse. Boredom was like love - inescapabale, smothering, and very annoying most of the time.

Rolling his eyes, Greg kept his attention on the lake. He couldn't help but be Mr. Obvious. Though he was a better Joker then Mr. Obvious. In fact, that's what his title was. See everyone here had a title, and his was The Joker. It matched his personality, and his actions. More of his personality though. " Glad that that's over."
Boredom was never gone, my friend. It's always been here. You must have simply failed to notice it.
Shrugging, Greg looked over at her. He wasn't sure how to answer that, but he'd try. " I think it just wants everyone to be bored. Maybe that's why were all bored. Though I'm sure that you are never bored since your always walking around, Miss. Malfoy." Smirking again at her, Greg turned back to the lake.

"Glad that that's over."
"I'm sure," Ashley drawled in reply. She wasn't exactly sure how to reply to that. But she was Ashley Malfoy, and the Malfoys always got the last word. Always.
"I think it just wants everyone to be bored. Maybe that's why were all bored.
"Oh, you think so?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Well then, I'm guessing you want to be bored." A slight smile graced her pretty features, along with a small, light laugh. "So you woke up 'early' on purpose."
Friendship was certainly a confusing thing. Ashley was mean to everyone, even her best friends. It was just the type of meanness that set the 'groups' apart - she was downright bitchy to those she didn't like, and more teasing than mean to her friends.
"Though I'm sure that you are never bored since you're always walking around, Miss Malfoy."
"Never bored? I'd beg to differ, Mister Sanders, but Malfoys never beg," she said haughtily, raising her chin a little bit. Pride was something that was extremely abundant for Ashley Malfoy. She had far too much, to be honest. "Though I am always walking around. But notice that I am not bored when I am walking around, because people follow me." Ashley's simle had turned into a definite Malfoy smirk. She was more like her father than she thought. But it was true - people did follow Ashley. Maybe they thought her popularity would rub off on them, or something, though it usually didn't.

At least one of the subjects was over. Good. 'Cause Greg didn't have anything else to say about the topic. Woke up early... on purpose? That would be the day. He would never wake up early. " Ha. Ha. Very finny, but you know that I would never wake up early."
Never bored? I'd beg to differ, Mister Sanders, but Malfoys never beg.
Laughing slightly at what she said, Greg turned his attention back to her. Malfoys never beg? What was that all about? Everyone begged sometimes, even him. Though not that much. " Whatever, Miss Princess. Are you sure that your a princess though? I mean you could think that your one in your own mind, but then again..."

"Ha. Ha. Very finny, but you know that I would never wake up early."
"It's called sarcasm, my friend. Ever heard of it?" Ashley said exasperatedly, raising an eyebrow. God, some people could be so stupid sometimes, it killed her.
"Whatever, Miss Princess. Are you sure that your a princess though? I mean you could think that your one in your own mind, but then again..."
"Are you questioning my authority?" Ashley asked coolly. She stood up, drawing herself to her full height. Ashley was only 5'3, but from the way she held herself, it seemed as if she was at least an inch taller. There goes the pride again. "Well, this can only be settled one way," she said in an amused voice, back away slightly from the water. Smirking, Ashley pushed him into the water. "I think that's settled," she said, her smirk growing. Ashley chuckled as she sat back down, watching Greg fall into the water.
((ok, that was some godmoding there...sorry...))

Rolling his eyes, Greg coudn't help but laugh slightly. Did everyone think he was stupid? Most would say yes, but he wasn't that stupid. " Of course I know what sarcasum is. I was just using it." Though arguing his case never worked out for him. Though it work with some people, but it didn't work with Ashley.
Landing in the lake wasn't on Greg's to do list today. What did he do now that would make her push him in? He came back up, and looked at her. " What was that for?" He hadn't done anything. Well... maybe he did, but he didn't do anything that would make her push him into the lake.
(( That's ok))

"Of course I know what sarcasum is. I was just using it."
Ashley rolled her eyes. Everyone seemed to know that it was pointless to argue with her, because she was the type of girl who could fight until sundown, and still be ready to continue fighting. That, and she always won. A quality from her mum, thank you very much.
"What was that for?"
Ashley smirked. So it'd worked after all. God, she was so mean to her friends sometimes. But they were used to her personality. "Because it's funny," she said simply with a laugh, her smirk growing. "Do I ever need a reason?" The answer was pretty much no. Ashley Skye Narcissa Malfoy did what she wanted, and didn't care what you had to say about it.

Wiping the water from his face, Greg glared at her slightly. Though he didn't understand why it would only be slightly. She had just pushed him into the water? So why he wouldn't be glaring at her fully was out of his mind.
"Isn't that why I'm called the Joker? Because I'm funny." Greg couldn't help but smirk at athat comment. Though she was right. She never did need a reason, she could just do what ever she wanted. " No. Of course you don't need a reason, but everyone else does."

"Isn't that why I'm called the Joker? Because I'm funny."
Ashley smirked, rolling her pretty chocolate brown eyes again. "I would hope so. Or it would be quite a pointless nickname, don't you agree?" she said with a slight laugh. "Unless it was sarcasm, of course."
"No. Of course you don't need a reason, but everyone else does."
"And that, my friend, is the beauty of being a Malfoy, and as you put it, 'the Slytherin Princess'. I never need a reason. What a wonderful thing," she said with a smirk as she raised an eyebrow. "I never get caught...and even if I did, do you think I'd get in trouble? My mum is Headmistress, and I highly doubt she'd expel her own daughter." Ashley laughed again. Being on top was good. No, it was amazing.
