Doing homework... riiight (anyone)

[Anna Weasley]

Anna was supposed to be studying, but she honestly couldn't keep her mind on her school work. What was wrong with her today? Usually she had her homework done in less than an hour, but here she was, still sitting in the library when she had been there for nearly three hours. Even though she was in Ravenclaw, Anna wasn't exactly a bookworm. She hated homework, so she usually got it done as fast as she could. Books, quills, ink, and bits of parchment were scattered about the table she had entirely to herself. Potions was not going well... she couldn't even remember what she was supposed to write her essay on.

Anna's auburn-red hair as loose down her back, naturally curlying into spirals. Her hazel-green eyes were bored, scanning the library, noticing she was the only one in it apart from the crabby old librarian. She was wearing her favorite jeans, a black AC DC t-shirt and - slippers. Letting a breath of her blow through her lips, Anna turned a page in the books he wasn't even reading.

Finally giving up on even attempting to focus on homework, Anna stood up and started browsing through the bookshelves, taking random books down and flipping through them. It wasn't long before she realized she had company. Looking up, she saw who it was.

Ashley Skye Narcissa Malfoy sauntered into the library, looking a bit nervously around her. Who would expect Ashley, of all people, to be studying? No, it simply wasn't right. Ashley didn't much care about school; she did perfectly well without studying, thank you very much.

Flipping her layered blonde hair over her shoulder, Ashley's chocolate brown eyes wandered to the only other person (besides the librarian) in the Library. She smiled at Anna as she walked over, her jean skirt clinging a bit to her 5'3 frame. "Hey Anna," she said, sitting down next to her friend.

"Ash!" Anna said with a grin as she spotted one of her best friends, Ashley Malfoy. "Whats up?" Glad to finally have someone to talk to, it didn't occur to Anna why on Earth Ashley was in the library. It was like Voldemort apologizing for all his deaths and helping rebuild the wizarding world. Okay, not that dramatic, but Anna did tend to exxagerate, even if it was in her own mind. When she did think of it, she was very surprised.

"What are you doing in the library?" Anna said, realizing she had NEVER seen her friend in the huge book-packed room. Wow. This was big. Ashley Malfoy in the library. Sweeping the thought from her mind, Anna noticed that the book in her hands was about Horcruxes. Egh, scary, she didn't need to be looking at that. Hurriedly putting it back on the shelf, she turned back to Ashley, still smiling.

"Ash! Whats up?"

Ashley sighed and shook her head, being the overdramatic girl she was. "Nothing's up with me, sadly," she admitted, shrugging. "And you?" she glanced at the cover of the book Anna had been reading. It was something about Horcruxes. Oh, hadn't her father told Ashley something about Hocruxes? He must have; when he was raving about the Dark Lord or whatever. Ashley, personally, was neutral in the battle of good and evil and blah blah blah. She wasn't on either side.

"What are you doing in the library?"

"Something about how if I don't get my Herbology grade up, I'm going to fail," she said with a dismissive roll of her eyes and wave of her hand. Ashley didn't care too much; she was going to drop Herbology next year anyway. To her, it was a bit useless - Potions, her best subject, was a lot more interesting. "And you? Reading?" Ashley wouldn't be surprised if she was - Anna was a Ravenclaw, and Ravenclaws were famed for their love of books.
