A beautiful blonde Slytherin girl stomped down to the Great Hall. Some called her the Queen Bee. Some called her the Slytherin Princess. There were other nicknames as well - the Beautiful Blonde Slytherin Bitch, the Blonde Brat...but if there was one that would fit her right now, it was Miss Annoyed. Everything about Ashley Skye Narcissa Malfoy just screamed that she was pissed.
Maybe it was because she was not exactly a morning person. Maybe it was because she'd heard those annoying little first years talking about her in the Common Room. They were saying something about how they'd been told that Ashley Malfoy was very pretty and popular, but kind of...well, a bitch. And to be perfectly honest, all were true.
Her blonde hair layed straight across her back, flowing behind her as her chocolate brown eyes searched the Great Hall for people to NOT sit next to. Instead of the normal mischievous sparkle, they were filled with an angered, pissed off gleam. Narrowing her pretty orbs, Ashley sat down at the Slytherin table and started drinking a goblet full of orange juice.

Alora looked up as a grumpy-looking girl stomped into the room. Alora happened to know this girl well, and was one of her friends and one of her enemies. So that's why Alora could guess what was wrong.
Alora was used to people insulting her all the time, but Ashley didn't seem to have gotton used to people calling her names yet. It didn't help that Alora liked to be truthful, and would tell her that the names were true if she wasn't absolutely certain that Ashley would explode on the spot.
Alora also knew that in this kind of mood, with this many people in the Hall, Ashley would be bound to have a go at someone. And that someone would probrably end up being Alora. Alora wished that Ashley didn't have such a terrible temper, and that she'd stop bullying her just because it's what her father used to do. But you can't get exactly what you want all the time, can you?
So Alora picked up the diary she had just been writing in and turned to go, even though she hadn't eaten a thing yet. She didn't really mind, because she probrably wouldn't get really really hungry until lunchtime, and even if she did, she would go down into the kitchens. But Alora wasn't someone who ate very much, and her average amount of meals per day was one.

Glaring at the boys who gestured like they were going to come talk to her, Ashley searched the room for someone to take out her anger on. She didn't feel like flirting at the moment, just being an angry bitch because she could. Smirking, she set her chocolate brown eyes upon none other than Alora Potter.
Ashley and Alora had an interesting, if not extremely complicated relationship. They were enemies in public, yet friends when no one else was around. It was the Potter-Malfoy thing - Ashley couldn't dare admit that she was friends with a Potter! It would positively soil her family's good name! Not to mention her good reputation. And, well, that was pretty much what Ashley cared about most of the time - herself.
Sneering, Ashley stood up from her spot on the Slytherin bench and walked over to Alora. Well, it was more like a stroll - as if she was trying to look casual, but everyone could tell that there would be a sort of blowout. "Well, well, well. What do we have here? Good day to you, Miss Potter," Ashley drawled in a slow voice. Her pretty English accent was a bit reminiscient of her father's at the moment - she was going in for the sting. Which was something that Ashley did well, like it or not.

Alora sighed and turned to face Ashley. "Hello Malfoy. What do you want?" she replied in an exhausted and very bored tone, not bothering to be polite. She knew that ignoring Ashley was probrably the best way of getting rid of her for now, but Alora didn't feel like having Ashley shouting insults at her until she got bored with it.

"Hello Malfoy. What do you want?"
"Want? There are a lot of things I want in life, Potter," Ashley sneered, pacing around Alora like a vulture would on prey. "But, sadly, not even I can have what I want all the time." Ashley's tone was somewhat singsong and mocking. Though few would admit it, there was a sort of...art to being mean. You had to make it count. And Ashley was good at it.
"Can a girl not simply come down to breakfast? Last time I checked, the Great Hall was welcome to Slytherins as well as Gryffindors..." she said, raising her blonde eyebrows. "Sadly," Ashley added, a smirk playing about her pretty features.

Alora resisted the urge to roll her eyes, and replied in the same zombie-like tone, "Yes, a girl can, but I'm done now, and I'm going to leave." She turned round again and began walking towards the door. She was bored to death of having this kind of conversation with Ashley, just because she was in a bad mood. Alora thought of Ashley as very selfish, andcouldn't help feeling she was right every time she had this sort of conversation with Ashley.

"Yes, a girl can, but I'm done now, and I'm going to leave."
Though this might have annoyed a weaker Slytherin, Ashley merely shook her head and clicked her tongue. Things were about to get interesting. "Oh, I see how it is," she said in a fauxly innocent voice. "I thought Gryffindors were supposed to have courage...are we sure that the Sorting Hat didn't make a mistake this time? Or has the 'good old' Gryffie reputation changed since my mum's days here?" At the mention of the words 'good old', Ashley's voice because extremely sarcastic. She'd have to be careful, though - her mum was a Gryffindor graduate, shameful as the truth was.
"Maybe your father had put in a good word with the Ministry. What a shame. From the looks of it, you belong with the rest of the cowards in Hufflepuff." Ashley's voice was disdainful when mentioning Hufflepuff, like it didn't even deserve to be mentioned in something she spoke. Now she was headed for trouble, and Ashley didn't care. It would be worth it, she thought, smirking.
((Lmao...this is nothing personal! I play Gryffs on most sites...but I have to admit, it's fun to be evil. XD))

Alora shrugged, and turned around again. "I am brave, but this conversation is starting to get a little too boring," she replied truthfully, her voice no longer a zombie drone. "and that obviously means that the Sorting Hat didn't make a mistake with me." she had become tired of explaining this to stupid, stupid Slytherins that picked on her, and just didn't get it when she left out of pure boredom. Alora was no coward. And she wasn't stupid either. She knew that Ashley couldn't insult her aabout being a Gryffindor very much, because Ashley's own mother was a Gryffindor graduate.
Alora hated having such a complicated relationship, and she knew it was only because Ashley would hate to harm her own reputation, as well as her own family's. Yet it was awkward to be someone's friend one minute, and enemy the next. Right now, Ashley was really beginning to bug Alora, and she was that close to transfroming and attacking her.

"I am brave, but this conversation is starting to get a little too boring, and that obviously means that the Sorting Hat didn't make a mistake with me."
"Whatever floats your boat, dear," Ashley said, raising her eyebrows and sighing. Alora wasn't insulting her back, and that was, well, a bit boring. She looked at her nails, as if she didn't care. But from the side a goblet seemed to levitate itself into the air.
Ashley concentrated her mind on hitting Alora's head with the heavy goblet. First of all, it would be a bit funny. Second of all, no one could blame her! No one but her family and Allison knew that Ashley was a telekinetic. Hiding her smirk, Ashley aimed the goblet at Alora's head and let it fly, waiting to see what would happen.

Alora saw the goblet flying towards her head and ducked instantly. She had always been good at that sort of thing, so she was naturally able to duck as soon as she saw it. She turned as the goblet crashed into the wall behind her before getting up and sighing. "A telekinetic, as I see." She said, an expression of plain boredom on her face, but wild satisfaction glimmering in her eyes. She was sure that Ashley had done that, because why would a cup suddenly decide to through itself at her? It wouldn't, that's why. And she knew what telekinetics were, seeing as she had read a book about them once. See, she wasn't completely braindead, was she?

"A telekinetic, as I see."
"Oh, excuse me. I would've thought you'd be in Ravenclaw, not Hufflepuff, with a brilliant mind like that," Ashley countered sarcastically, faking her surprise. "You'd be right, my dear. I am a telekinetic. And I'm guessing you're an animagus?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. The other day, Ashley had seen a tiger prowling around the grounds...what other answer could there be, other than a student? Tigers didn't just fly around Hogwarts.
Foxes, however, did. Thank God Ashley's animagi form knew how to hide well. When transformed, she fit in perfectly, though her sleek form and slanted eyes gave her the appearance of a more-beautiful-than-normal fox. Ashley tapped her black heels on the ground, waiting for Alora's response.

Alora tilted her head to the side slightly. "Maybe." she answered, deliberately trying to be annoying. After all, Ashley had annoyed her, hadn't she? It was only fair that Alora should chuck something at Ashley's head, though it wouldn't be any good, just amusing to watch. But Alora wasn't going to chuck anything, even if she really really wanted to. She just wasn't that kind of person. She beleived it was fair, but even so, she wasn't going to do it.

"Maybe."
Ashley took this for a yes, smirking in a satisfied manner. "If I were you, I'd be careful who sees me in my animal form," she hissed quietly in Alora's ear, stepping close to her. She was half-mad at herself for being such a bitch to her friend. But what would father say if he found out that she was friends with a Potter? He'd murder her! So it looked like Ashley would have to put on this not-so-little charade for a while.

Alora nodded slightly, to indicate that she understood. She was still a little annoyed, but it wasn't as bad to know that Ashley was still her friend. She might be acting like a bitch right now, but Mr. Malfoy would basically murder Ashley if he found out that the two were friends. Alora still felt as though there was no need for Ashley to try and hurt her, but she obviously wasn't going to say this out loud. And besides, Ashley would probrably feel sorry anyway, though she wasn't too sure about this. Ah well, it didn't really matter to her anyway.

Ashley's eyes watched the upcoming crowd like a hawk. "Move along," she said in a quiet, dangerous voice. She smirked, satisfied, as everyone walked away. Rolling her eyes at the students, Ashley turned back to Alora. "Sorry..." she muttered, shaking her head.
